Finding Flow in the Everyday

Hi, I’m Mel & I’ve always been a person in motion.

Life never really slows down, and honestly, I like it that way. But somewhere along the way, I realized I needed a movement practice that could keep up with me — and also help me pause long enough to enjoy the moment. That’s where Pilates found me.

I started practicing six years ago, and after moving to Ottawa, I finally had the space to deepen my practice. What began as a way to move my body quickly became a grounding ritual. Physically, Pilates gave me the strength and energy to move through my day with ease. Mentally, it taught me how to stay steady when life speeds up. Emotionally, it became a place to slow down and check in with myself.

Steady Flow Co. was born from the belief that even in constant motion, you can find your constant — a movement practice that grounds you no matter where life takes you. Whether you’re rolling out a mat in your living room, flowing lakeside, or squeezing in a session between meetings, movement can be your steady place.

Steady Flow Co. is my creative outlet, side hustle, and passion project - all rolled into one. Whether you join for a cozy weekend class or a seasonal pop-up, I’m here to help you find your flow.

Approachable. Grounded. Fun-loving.

I teach mat-based Pilates designed for real life—classes that meet you where you are, whether you're brand new to the mat or looking to build strength and flow. Expect classes that balance challenge with ease, form with rhythm, and breath with joy. Some flows feel like a steady stretch; others are powered by the beat and leave you glowing with energy.

At the end of the day, I want you to feel more connected to your body, your breath, and your steady flow—both on and off the mat.
